| Hi there new and feeders/bowls questions Hi there!! I am new on this site and I just want to say Hello!! My fiancee and I are getting married on July 3 and we will be back from our honeymoon on July 17, so we are planning on getting a yorkie then! This is so exciting for us and we want to be prepared so we wanted to get a few things before we bring the puppy home. We already looked at crates and pens, but I was wondering if the bowls made a difference? This is probably a silly question, but does it matter if the bowl is steel, ceramic or plastic? Thanks so much!! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and congratulations on your wedding and getting a new puppy. I prefer the stainless steel bowls.

| thank you.. is there a particular reason? I heard that in the summer the stainless steel ones get really hot and might burn the puppy's tongue but I dont know if that is true or not... |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I prefer the stainless steel as they are easy to clean and the plastic can cause discoloration of their nose, while harmless I prefer not to. With ceramic, so many are made in China and I worry about the lead etc that may be in them. I only use bowls inside for water, My girls eat their food off of paper plates.
