| Trouble finding sweaters that fit 5lb, 12-inch-long boy Our Buster is pretty long and lean. He's about 5 pounds, and about 12 inches from the base of his neck to the base of his tail. In virtually every brand of dog sweaters we've found, the XS are tiny and often won't cover his ribcage. And the Smalls are usually the right length (sometimes a little long), but they're so baggy that he urinates on them. Can anyone recommend a sweater for Buster? |

| If memory serves me correctly, there is a web site that sells Dachshund clothes and would be a better fit for your little "weiner" Yorkie.

| I would highly recommend the Dallas Dog Sweaters. Carol sells them at Bloomingtales (she is a member here - Bloomingtales). You order by length. I have a 5 lb, 12" long girl and they fit her great!!!! They are very well made and wash wonderfully well also.

| I know the feeling. Cookie is about 11" long and either xsmall fits her fine around the chest just too short and small fits her fine in lenght but baggy around the chest. This tread is very helpful for me too. |

| We have several Dallas Dog sweaters in stock and they are great and as Jodie said, they come by length and wear extremely well. And YT gets 10% discount. |

| Chipper weighs 4.2 lbs. and is long. When buying sweaters I have found that I need to be very careful as to the cut of the sweater on the underside. It has to be cut away or Chipper will piddle on it. It's easier to buy for the girls because it can fit clear up to their back legs. Thanks for the information that has been provided.

| Trouble finding sweaters that fit 5lb, 12-inch-long boy I've also ordered off zozotees.com and it's great for Canadians as American shipping/duties/taxes are always so expensive. Their shirts are cut especially so dogs can still do their business. The shirts are reasonably priced and pretty cute. There's also a website doxidelight.com -- you can get a custom sweater for your dog. A little more pricey, but may be worth it. Not sure of quality, never ordered from them Happy shopping! |
