I bought the monkey for Ted at a petstore. you have to tie the harness in a few knots; otherwise it's too long. He can see out the window only if he stands and leans on the monkey arms. Be sure to put the seatbelt thought the monkey's arms and across the back of the monkey chair. When it's not in the car..he sits in it in the house.

Hey, Sapphire. yeah, two or three knots does the trick. And then I loop the seatbelt through one arm, across the chest, and through the other arm..nice and sturdy. Have fun.

Thanks! I can't wait to take him for a ride now. Finally, all three have their own car seats and I won't have to listen to them fight over chew toys anymore

Just saw the photo of your baby in his new doggie carseat. So cute. They're really cozy chairs. My daughter was embarrassed to drive around with a giant monkey in the front seat..so we put a bandana on it and made it look cool!! Ted would Howl in the car until he got this seat..now he loves riding. Take care and happy trails.

I'm sure a bed pillow will do the trick if the doggies need to be raised up an inch or two to see out the window all the time.
