| Tearfree pet shampoos I was wanting to know if anyone had a shampoo that smells good that is tear free? I currently use a non scented shampoo on Harley that works well, but I would love to have something with a nice smell to it. I don't like real strong or flowery smells as they tend to make me sick at my stomach, I would love to find one with a vanilla scent. Thanks in advance for any help! Jeri and Harley |

| Earthbath for puppies is a tear free shampoo. I've been using that with no problems. It smells like maybe...cherry? It smells good.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | For Max's face I use Johnson & Johnson's Baby tearless shampoo, smells really good and you can't beat the price, for his body, our all time favorite, Mink Sheen, smells good, and naturally repels ticks and fleas, what else can you ask for?

| Same here - for their faces I use just regular baby shampoo and for their bodies we use Cloud Star Buddy Wash & Rinse. I love love love it! They are always soo soft and shiny afterward and the lavender mint smell is fantastic.

| Here too - Johnson & johnson Baby shampoo for the face. Works like a charm. Tink has some super dry skin issues, so I use an Oatmeal Vet shampoo for that. Hope she grown out of that soon. |

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | I was intrigued by the lavendar mint, so I looked up Cloud Star Buddy Wash (I love rosemary mint, and they actually have that).....all three of the scent choices they have listed on their website say they have tea trea oil as an ingredient. Tea tree oil is toxic to dogs (and even more toxic to cats)....I've read several things on YT lately about it, and most say they would avoid using anything with it as an ingredient altogether. One poster said that her vet had a small dog come in that the owner had been using a tea tree oil product on its nails (for brittle nails), and the dog ended up dying because it had over time made the dog soooo sick. Just wanted to warn you since I just learned this as well.....I'd hate anything to happen to your baby. |

| I use Spa facial scrub on her face and John Paul tearless on the rest of her (when I'm not having to use the prescription stuff from the vet) |

| I've been told that Johnson's tearless baby shampoo actually harms the eyes and shouldn't be used on animals or babies. It numbs the eyes which is why it doesn't burn which can damage the eyes long term.

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | OMG! I'm going to have to investigate this...that is aweful! I use a tearless puppy shampoo right now, so maybe it's the same thing. I'm going to look up the ingredients and do some more research....don't have babies yet (just my Bella) but I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt her (or any babies in my future either!) Thanks for the tip....I'm definitely going to find out what ingredient makes it numbing so I can avoid it! |

I've never heard that, but I do know that it isn't recommended for dogs. Dogs have a different pH than we do and Johnson's Baby shampoo can really dry the coat out if used regularly. My favorite tearless shampoo for faces is Absolutely Natural: Animal Friends Manufacturing Shampoo | |

| Tearfree pet shampoos I used to use Johnson's baby shampoo diluted to remove mascara. I stopped that when I got some in my eye one day and it burned like heck!! I do not use it anymore on my pups. You really are supposed to put a drop of mineral oil or other eye drops to protect their eyes when bathing them. I personally use the Pet Silk products. They have a tearless puppy shampoo, but I still put drops in first just in case! |
