i think the bathroom is the safest place for Choco because there are no cables or anything valuable or small that he would chew up or swallow. of course if you have anything on the floor of the bathroom then you would put those in a higher level place...

but yeah, hope you found a crate.. im looking for one myself since i dont have one.

I am so glad to see someone else uses the "bathroom"!! I put Lily in there when I have to leave her because she HATES the crate and always has. I was beginning to feel like a horrible mommy because she sleeps with us and she still screams in her crate!!lol I had to get a gate for the bathroom door because she caught on that when I started putting her stuff in there that I was leaving her and shutting the door so she was hard to hold back and shut the door so I just put a gate up now and that works better with her in the bathroom!!! I think she is a little bit SPOILED???LOL

When Jamie was a puppy, he was in a playpen (baby section at Target) with a potty pad. Once he was old enough (5 months was when we started) to start crate training, I put him in his crate (no potty pad) and came home and took him out to potty everyday at lunch. Now (1year old) he stays in my masterbath (open door crate) during the day and I do put a potty pad down for him but usually he holds it til I get home at 5. I wouldn't leave a small puppy in a crate for 8hours. I think a puppy proofed room or an xpen would be your best option.
