I read and understood the whole 4-6 weeks time from on their site. My initial problem was that the site had stated to allow so many days (I can't remember what the time frame was now) for your "order status" to change...and mine never did. And I waited longer than what was stated. I also honestly felt (my fault, I know) that the 4-6 weeks surely wouldn't have anything to do w/ anything I ordered. I had nothing that was handmade...and I did read that a lot of things, they didn't keep in stock, and I didn't mind that.....I have waited longer for items I've ordered...so I guess that wasn't even a concern of mine. I filled out their online (from their site) customer service/contact form (with my order number - as stated to do)....did this twice and no response. It wasn't until I mentioned filing a complaint about their site and getting my money back, did they respond...and boy did they respond! The whole time, my only question was JUST about my order status never changing. After my second attempt to contact, that is when I found out that there were a LOT of complaints against this site. So, I got really nervous, hence my third attempt to contact them. Then, after their nasty response, I knew I need to cancel my order and just try to get my money back and have further dealings w/ them! Thankfully, PayPal got my money back....whew! I never even noticed their "hall of shame"! WTH?! What business does that? I mean, why are these people on their hall of shame??!! |

I quickly wanted to let everyone know, that I personally removed the correspondences that I've had with the company.....as my husband felt that we shouldn't put too much info out there, since, afterall, this company does have all of our personal information...not saying they would ever get spiteful and use our information, but DH just felt that since our issues have been taken care of, there should be no further contact w/ this company (whew......what a run on sentence that was)! Anyway, we do think that our experience w/ this company was a horrid one, that their lack of response was unprofessional...and that when they did finally respond, it was just horribly rude and uncalled for........BUT thankfully, they did get the refund sent, actually pretty darn fast (thanks to PayPal). I do feel that a bad review is in order....and I applaud everyone for taking steps to get these bad experiences of us fellow YT members in the public eye......I just do not wish to have my private information or correspondences put out there.....as I my issue w/ this company has been settled and I wish to no longer deal w/ anything regarding them. And, I think if someone could come up w/ a proper and professional letter that we could all email to the companies that do business w/ this company....that would be great! |

Found this comment on the consumerist, can we add these two attorneys general on our mass mailing list? Who's doing it! I'm signing up!!! Shaftoe at 06:27 PM on 05/15/08 Reply by Email * What concerned me was them publishing the email addresses of those with whom they disagreed. In clear text. A clear violation of thier canned privacy policy. And just plain nasty behavior. I would be contacting the NY and Arizona states attorneys general on that one |

Ladies ... it is amazing what one little group of POed Yorky owners can do. I have had two companies contact me letting me know they will not be doing business with the toads from Hands N Paws. Pet Fly's has been very gracious and sent me products even after I told the lady I was not one of the ones personally offended. I was just offended that any company would act that way. I for one was sick and tired of crappy customer service everywhere. But today I received the following email from another company that received my email complaining about Hands N Paws. "Hi Tracye, Thank you for contacting us and I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We have been busy attending trade shows for the past few weeks in Baltimore and Germany where we actually had a chance to discuss this issue with many manufacturers who have also received similar emails voicing concerns over this very matter. Trust that we have all compared notes and have determined that everything you are saying seems to be very true and we are all very concerned with this companies behavior and we are taking measures to distance ourselves from this business. In our case, this company has not updated their site with our new collection and orders very little, so we will not allow them to access our new collection and we will eventually cease our relationship with them. I could not believe the stories and you have every right to be upset. Just remember, the companies that are represented on that site are not guilty by association and ultimately have nothing to do with that company or it's actions whether they take action or not. Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention and please know that there is an awareness now withing the industry. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this matter further. Best regards, Russ Cress Marketing/PR Director Hip Doggie Fashion" Thought you all might like to know that Hands N Paws may regret the day they offended a Yorky owner!!:eek::eek: |

Although I'm glad to see they've removed the "Hall of Shame", it's a little too late to help restore any customer confidence with me. I received 2 emails from Pet Flys, also emails from Ruff Ruff Couture, I See Spot and Oscar Newman. Ruff Ruff Couture was to contact Hands N Paws, and have them remove any pictures of their merchandise. As they had never sold directly to them, so Hands N Paws didn't have permission to use the images. I See Spot, said that they haven't sold to them in over a years time and won't be selling to them again. Oscar Newman said they would check in to this matter and have yet to get back with me. The response from Pet Flys was similar to the one Onni received. Kudos to PetFlys - they have responded very quickly and with great concern. |

Not only does this hit this company exactly where it hurts (their bank account), it also restores faith in the power of consumers. But it ALSO reminds us to be diligent in knowing the companies that we do business with. The web has created a false sense of trust (been bitten myself). These people will likely change their name and reopen as something else. BUT even so, they are on notice, and even if they do stay in business, they will most likely realize that eventually that kind of behavior catches up with them. :thumbdown |
