250 Dogs Saved by White County Sheriffs

The White County Sheriff's Department in Tennessee recently rescued more than 250 dogs from a local puppy mill.

The dogs are small breeds, most under 20 pounds. They were found to be suffering from malnourishment, dehydration, lack of proper ventilation, feces encrusted pens and medical conditions such as matting, sores, mange, poor teeth, abscesses and more.

Officials from the ASPCA were on hand to help the troubled dogs, and their Mobile Animal Crime Scene Investigation Unit was there to help collect forensic evidence against the puppy mill.

The rescued dogs are now safely housed in an emergency shelter.

Please send a thank you to the hard-working law enforcement officers of White County. It was their diligence and cooperation with organizations like ASPCA that led to the rescue of these innocent dogs. Thank you White County Sheriffs!

Thank you for posting this! I sent a thank you & a blessing for those that saved these babies lives. May more of these operations be shut down

Thats wonderful !! In the past 2 days there have been more then 3 mills shut down and dogs placed, many still need homes

We have one locally i have been trying to turn in for over a yr

I have no solid proof, Just my proof that i beleive, I know my Jasp came from there and it breaks my heart to know she is still selling sick babies and they wont do anything !
I wish i could post a warning in our local paper without getting in trouble

Why do you think you would get into trouble if you told your local paper? You know most newspapers - and i know all the papers owned by Gannett - allow any reader to start their own blog. You could perhaps start blogging about the issue of puppy mills there & really get the conversation going in your community

I sent the thank you note. I live in White County and we have only had news of the raid and nothing else.
