| YT Addict | I see this a lot at walmarts, usually the window is partially down but still way to hot. People are ignorant, unfortunately some people even leave their kids in hot cars.I wittnessed this once at Gulfport Ms and me and some more people did call the law. |

And even worse than that, last semester on campus my boyfriend and I picked up a boxer pup off the main campus where it had just been hit (lightly tapped thank goodness for speed limit only being 10mph) and some man came running at me and cussing at me. He said I had no right to pick up his dog and that he must have gotten out of his truck and run all around campus trying to find him! I was so mad that I reported him to the police and it turns out that he has been caught leaving the dog in his pickup for more than 2 hours at a time twice and both times he got to keep the dog and no punishment! And this time they fined him a couple hundred dollars but last friday I saw the SOB walking down campus w/ his dog! I can't believe that people get to keep their animals after they neglect them so badly! It just doesn't make sense to me why someone would want an animal and then treat them like dirt! I agree that that ladies punishment should be to sit in her car for an hour and a half, pay a 1,000 dollar fine AND be forced to do community service about spreading the word about the dangers of leaving your animals in hot cars! | I know! It fires me up so badly sometimes that I just don't know what to do! The poor things should be taken away from the owners ASAP and placed w/ a family who actually love them and take care of them! <3 LeeAnn & Harley |

| I'm with Schatzie ... break the window!! They shouldn't be left in a car that way even with ALL the windows rolled down! I can't stand the heat for two minutes so I can imagine how hot it must be for these babies with lots of hair! I keep my spare keys handy just in case I am running errands and forget about a stop where Toto can't go ... I turn all the air vents on her and leave it running on high and lock the car! I don't even do this unless I'm certain it will only take 3-4 minutes otherwise I drive her back home and do the errand later without her! I have gotten some strange looks for doing this ... I wish someone would say something to me!!!

| YT Addict | No second thoughts here!....a jackhandle through the back widow would have solved the problem!! And if the damage to the vehicle upset the owner....tough nuggies!!!

| Thank goodness it is against the law to leave any animal in a car in Arizona. The police will come and write them a ticket...that usually gets their attention

| The night I took Harley to get his picture taken at the mall with Santa I saw an older looking dog laying in a small car. The car was off and the windows were up. It wasn't hot but man was it super cold! I wrote down the tag number and type of car to go and complain but as I was walking up to the mall I saw one of those security cars driving by so I told the man about the dog left in the car and he laughed me off! WTF?! It wasn't very funny to me.. That poor old dog was shivering and looked very scared.. I was ticked and it made me think about this poor little dog that was trapped in the heat.. Rawr.. It just makes me want to break their window.. rescue the dog and smack the owner upside the head!

I have left little Mojo at home sometimes because I am not sure where I will be going, where he is allowed, etc. I've never thought about leaving the car on though........I would be afraid that someone would break the window and steal my SUV....with Mojo in it!!! That would be the worst thing ever!!
