Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | NutroMax contains ALOT of allergens, so switching may alleviate many problems. You could try Canidae, Orijen, Innova, Innova EVO, Wellness, California Natural, Evangers. Here is a great site to learn about dog food. Look in the 5 & 6 star sections for good foods. http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...iews/index.php

| I've given up on throw rugs in my house. They always go on them so now I just keep them up and they don't go on the hardwood floors, so I'd try taking the up.

| I would also try Solid Gold Just A Wee Bit. A good thing for allergies is Local Raw Natural Honey. There was an article in The Whole Dog Journal about the many benifits of the raw honey for allergies. My westie has many allergies and this has really helped him. I have had him on many different foods and found the only one that works that he will eat is the Solid Gold. I am hoping my yorkie will not have allergies, but I am prepared if she does. Good Luck on the allergies. As far as the peeing goes, I really don't have any good ideas except removing the rugs. Sorry, and good Luck on the peeing also!! | It looks like Nutro Max has chicken, wheat product and corn product in it. Those can all be allergens.

| I've had my two baby boys since Oct. 7th. One of the first things I had to do within a couple of days was take up all my rugs. They where both peeing on all I had down! We are all three happier now.... |

| I have a lot of clients that had the same issue - switching to a high quality food ALWAYS does the trick! So don't fret, the solution is pretty simple. California Natural is what most of the previous-allergic doggies eat now and they have no problems at all. You could switch over to that or even try home cooking. Dr. Pitcairn's Guide to Natural Health has a lot of information on the topic & recipes to get you started. Also, supplements are great for coat issues. Just go with a high quality company because there are a lot of choose from nowadays. i.e. I wouldn't get something from a store like PetSmart, rather buy Solid Gold or another high-end brand.
