| Puppy Treats - sensitive stomach I'm looking for ideas for my little guy to provide treats for training purposes. We bought some other treats and he didn't like them. Then the pet store suggested some others that "all dogs love" and they wreaked havoc on his little system. He is 4 mos old and seems to be a little picky and sensitive. I do not mind baking them myself, in fact would enjoy doing it. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! |

| Mine like Bil Jac liver treats. They're nice and small so they'd probably be good for his size.

| picky eaters Tede was like that and still is. the liver thing made him go to the hospital from the fat. so did chicken hot dogs the trainer gave him. I know that the natrual balance moist stick cut in little bites is a hit. some yt dont like it but tede does. but my best luck is to make my own chicken sticks. I go to costco and get chicken tendors. put 2 or 3 in the micro. cook them a little over done. while warm cut up in small bites .put in a baggie. and use them all day for training. works for me

| Those Natural Balance loafs are what gave him some major issues. I tried Cheerios tonight and he loved them! Thanks to all who contributed! |

| Nutro makes some biscuits that are for sensitive stomach. Seymour sometimes has problems with somethings but these work well for him.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Our Magic has a sensative tummy.....and we are very careful not to give her anything with chicken and give her only small amounts of treats. Magic has done well on the Old Mother Hubbard Meaties Lamb & Rice and Zukes Mini Naturals Peanut Butter - or her all time favorite Yogurt Drops. Our vet suggested no treats at all for her sensative tummy - just additional pieces of food.....but all our others get treats for training so we kept trying until we found something that worked for her......but she only gets 2 or 3 treats a day...anymore cause her problems. Good luck finding something that works for your baby.....tummy troubles are no fun!!

| Both my dogs LLLLOOOOVVVEEE Beeferoni's, but they are soooooooo greasy and fattening (of course Abby learned "sit" in 5 minutes with them!). My pug LOVES Nut-tastics. and both of them go crazy for anything bacon flavored, especially beggin-strips. But they are really big so I have to break off pieces.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i use Yorkie Yummies made by chattiesmom as morgan's main treat. that's all she usually gets. they are great for training because they are small.
