| How long are they "in season"? Our gal began her first heat on Wednesday of last week. It's now Sunday and it seems to be abetting. Is that about right? |

| I believe and I'm not expert. It's seven days in, seven days bleeding, and seven days out.

| I have always heard from breeders that they can get pregnant even after they seem to have stopped bleeding so you should keep them away from any males for a full month. Why don't you post your question in the Breeders section? Maybe you'll get your answer. If not, I'd call your vet. |

| Your probably right there but being new to small dogs and female's at that I have lots of questions that may make the vet feel I am a pain. Sooo.. something as benign as this can be gotten through with a little friendly input from other Yorkie affectionados. (I hope) If for nothing more then another opinion. |
