| Problems with Solid Gold? I recently switched the dogs to Solid Gold but now they constantly are itchy. I was thinking allergies but someone told me they thought it was be just the opposite. I have treated both dogs for the past 2 months with frontline and I haven't seen any evidence of fleas. Alphy was up all night biting and scratching!!! Anyone have the same problem?

Hey! You know it ONLY fed my babies solid gold. "just wee bits" is the name of the formula. But i noticed they had allergies as well. I switched to royal canin yorkshire 28, but i ordered some fromm because they love it and its all natural.

| Kiwi has been on Solid Gold and is doing very well on it. I know the Solid Gold has no corn or soy in it. Both of those are common allergens for dogs. Your dogs could be allergic to something else in the Solid Gold. Did they have problems on the old food you were giving them? If not, I would compare ingredients and see what was different and try to avoid that.

| Mine are on Solid Gold, no problems so far. Aubrey has allergies, but Dakota doesn't scratch. |

| I agree with comparing labels to see what the new one has in it as oppossed to the old one.

| kikko is on their bison and salmon food and has been doing great on it .. but i have noticed he's been stealing some of my parents' dog's food (EVO) hahaha .. but he's been doing great so far due to either of the food. LOL! could definitely be something else he's allergic too .. check the treats you feed him too. I did that and realized on of the treats had some corn, you can guess where that bag went...in the garbage.

| I started zapphire on solid gold lamb (hundchen flocken) and after one week, i noticed her hair thinning. I can see her toes from the lack of hair over it now! I am not sure if this is from the new food or a coincidental hair loss phase (is there even such a thing for a for a 4-month old?). HELP!! |

| I had been feedling Charlie Orijen (kibble) and Solid Gold (wet), however, I noticed the appearance was difference and returned unused cans to store. They no longer carry Solid Gold wet due to cannery problems. Read on Solid Gold website for further information. There quality may have changed. Warmly, Deborah

| Solid Gold seems to work best for Our Biggie. Solid Gold makes his coat really soft and beautiful. Our Biggie has dry skin and suffers from allergies. We tried 3 different foods and he still suffered from the same symptons (itching). He actually vomited while on Royal Canin so we quickly threw that out. We chose to keep him on Solid Gold and added a liquid Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids supplement to his food daily. He loves it as it is liver flavored so it's like gravy on his food. His symptoms have gotten better. He still scratches a few times a day, but not excessively and it doesn't seem bothersome to him. |

| We were on Soild Gold for a few months and noticed they were pooping tons more and it was very light colored and strange looking. We quickly returned to Canidae. They are on NV Raw now and are doing excellent on it

| Solid Gold might be one of the better petstore brands, but it isn't my first choice.
