| Best Dry Dog Food? The owner said on the paper I should feed it Purina Puppy Chow. But I dont see it on the Premium Dog Food List. So what should I get for my Yorkie? and what moist food too for treats or special occasions? Thanks Anthony |

| See the only place I can buy dog food is Wal-Mart. Unless I buy it online. So can someone just tell me what to feed my Yorkie? Dry Food Wise and I will get multi-flavor for the moist food. Thanks Anthony |

| You don't have any pet stores close to buy food from? How about your vet's office? Petsmart? Petco? Any food that you'll find in Walmart or the grocery store is really poor quality. I think everyone looking for a pet food should read this article from the Animal Protection Institute: http://www.api4animals.org/facts.php?p=359&more=1 If Walmart is your only option, I'd order food online. Besides the ones already mentioned, Innova is good, Castor & Pollux, Blue Buffalo and Wellness are good, too. |

| You may have to pay about $10 more a bag for a large bag, but I'd definetly buy online. I feed Nutro Natural Balance and it's not that expensive. A large bag lasts me a long time.

| Some good kibbles are: Orijen (be careful, this is very high in protein and could be too rich for your dog) Innova (same as above) Solid Gold Canidae Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul Wellness Artemis California Naturals Life's Abundance Canned Foods: Merricks Canidae Innova Evangers These brands might not all come in a puppy formula. No food that you could get at Walmart is a good one.

| Do you live anywhere near a petsmart or petco? I generally don't recommend petsmart, but even there, you might be able to find a better food than wal-mart. The foods sold at wal-mart are low quality and most are only rate 1 star foods. Take a look at www.dogfoodanalysis.com so that you can read about why those foods aren't good quality and compare them to the 4 and 5 star foods.

| We feed Amicus and our dogs do very well on it. Sounds like it may be hard for you to find in our area though.

| I'm wondering hv many tried Orijen ? they are claimed to be the best dry food ever, even beating Blue Buffalo... In Italy only few dog food from American continent sold here in Italy, and those include Acana, Orijen, and taste of the wild

| Anthony if Walmart is your only only option, they sometimes carry a brand called Natural life . It has quality ingredients, if you can get your dog to eat it. Some people call it Lamaderm but its Natural Life in a can. If you have the option to order something you'd be better off but if not this is a decent food and Walmart carries it sometimes. |
