The only dry dog food I feed my Yorkies is Orijen. I mix it up between the poultry, red meat and fish varieties. My dogs do very well on it. The Washington Glycemic Research Institute has awarded Orijen Best Food of the Year several years in a row. |
Langley cost wise how does this Orijen do compared to other dry dog foods? |
Our breeder recommended purina too but we wanted something a little more healthier for our puppy. We tried blue and it made her sick, and we panicked and switched back to purina and that made her sick. She has a very very sensitive stomach and the pet store recommended natural balance and we've had no problems! We get the fish because it's easiest on their little stomachs. I don't think my dog is nuts over it, but it's the only thing that won't make her throw up. (Her vet thinks she's allergic to chicken and grain). They also make treats that she can digest also. |
Hi Bubbleh1; I'm up in Canada on the West coast. I pay between $24.00 and $27.00 for a 5lb bag, depending on the flavor. I believe the Regional Red is the most expensive brand. I'm not sure what department store brand prices are as I have always purchased their food at specialty pet stores. |

I feed acana which is the sister food to orjien and 5 lbs is 14 or 15 dollars, I buy in a small pet store |
