| HELP... Not eating Nelly just had a beautiful litter of 4 and is doing well, but just a little worried about her eating habits. She won't eat the the dry food she use to eat all the time. The only thing she will eat is canned dog food. She is very picky about the flavor she eats of that too. We got her some soft dry food but wouldn't eat much of that either. The vet said its normal for her not to eat her dry food, anyone else experienced that? If so for how long? Then we gave her canned dog food and she ate that up. What do you recommend??? Also she has awful diarrhea. Is this from the canned food or from her cleaning her pups? They were born on 9/11. I am worried, we asked the vet and he said to give her Pepto-Bismol, but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. She is getting up several times a day and night to go out and potty. HELP!!!!!! Thanks! |

| When Roxy had her pups she wouldnt touch her dry food either. I fed her chicken, a pudding mix and even goats milk. Really anything to get her to eat. I think I left caesars puppy food in there for her too even though its not the greatest food. She also had the runs too, her system was out of whack from having babies and nursing I guess. If you do a search youll find the recipe for the pudding. It was a awesome thing for us here. I almost forgot... Congrats on your new babies, its amazing all the stages of life!! |
