Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Lady Bought A 4 Week Old Puppy ????? I was in Pets Mart today and started talking with a lady, she was looking to get food for her 4 week old puppy, yeppers she bought one at 4 weeks of age I won't go into it any further however, I immediately got a tube of nutri-cal handed it to her and then got a bag of dry food, top brand, for weaning puppies. They had no idea on what to do or how to care for it. Gave them a few suggestions, and my email address. She said she would be emailing me this evening as they are at a loss of how to care for it it didn't have a name so they asked my name and said they are going to call it, Patti, LOL. Can anyone give me any suggestions to pass on to them when I reply back to them. They bought it in Mexico this past Sunday. Met another lady in Pets Mart, her six month old got pregnant by her Dad's dog while it was staying at his home. Oh my gosh, horror story, I can't even post what she told me. I wish so much people would be educated when getting a puppy or a dog or any pet as far as that goes. Thanks for any and all replys back, Patti |

| Gee Patti, sounds like our Lord is sending these people to you for help doesn't it? I know they are horror stories, but he sent them to someone that would help them in their time of need....

| Who in their right mind would sell a 4 week old puppy, let alone buy one??!?! This is crazy-I've actually heard of very young puppies being sold out of Mexico, and then the rumor I heard is that they take your money for the puppy, with no health guarantee. Then, a few weeks later you have a very sick puppy on your hands, and there's nothing you can do about it. Thank you Patti for helping this woman!

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Copy And Pasted Email From The Lady, Vilma. I received email from Vilma, and am happy to say she is taking my advice, she will get the puppy in to vet for a check up and for deworming right away. I copied and will paste her email to me, Quote:
Prayerfully the puppy will go home with a healthy report from the Vet. I did give her the name, phone number of our Vet. emphasized the importance of her doing this ASAP. I was so happy to hear it was eating the food and am glad she emailed me so I can keep in touch with her on the puppy and its needs. I emailed her back right away to give her list of things to do and get for it. Yorkie3 and Suzy, I do believe the Lord sometimes puts us in certain places at certain times. I am a gabber when I'm out and about, especially in the pet stores am thankful to have been there at the time Vilma was, she was so grateful, and gave me a great big hug when we went to leave. | Patti Im so glad you was there to help them, That was so sweet of them to name the puppy after you. 4 weeks is way to young, but whats been done is done cant change that now. Im sure you gave her some great advise and the puppy will be ok. As for the other puppy being pregnant at 6 months thats so young what are the sizes of the mom and dad. Are they going to get her to a vet for a morning after pill or is it to late for that? I hope the momma baby will be ok. Last edited by YorkieShadow; 09-06-2007 at 09:51 PM. |

| I'm glad you were there to help out, or who knows what might have happened to the puppy. Sometimes I think you should have to pass a test, and get a license before you can purchase a dog.
