| Lulu's OUTER EARs...Help! I just recieved my new dog named Lulu and she is 9 years old. She needed a home and I needed a dog but honestly I don't know anything about this breed. The one thing that I am CLUELESS about is the oil build-up on the outer ear and I can't find anything on the Web that tells me if this is suppose to be there or if it is not. She wasn't taken care of (grooming wise) and I am doing my best to recover her looks....please help |

| Welcome!! Welcome to YT! How nice that you have adopted an older yorkie! Does she have hair on her ears? Sometimes they can get what is referred to as leather ear where they have a black build up on their ears and the hair falls out. It can sometimes also extend to the nose and legs. Check out these posts and see if this is what you are experiencing. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=1736436

| Go See Your Vet If you haven't taken her to the vet already for a wellness check up, I advise you to. If she is cleared of any medical conditions that could be causing the issue you're experiencing, then there is certainly grooming techniques and advice we can give you here! |
