Just FYI...By-Products are the part of the animals that are NOT used for anything else. These include the beaks, feet and also the carcases of dead animals that are found in the roads, including skunks and roadkill. It also includes the carcases of the euthanized animals from the vets offices. The rendering plants that collect all of these parts and animal bodies do not even bother to remove the collars if they are still on there so there is plastic and metal all ground up together. The euthanized sickly and diseased animals are also thrown into the batch. All of these is sold as by-products here in America!! That is the FIRST ingredient in that food that you are using. If you want more information on that, you can google Rendering Plants and read all about it.
The second ingredient listed Corn Grits. Corn is used as a cheap filler which has no nutritional value. Corn and wheat also cause allergies in pets.
Many of the Science Diets foods list corn and wheat in their top 5 ingredients. Because the vets get kickbacks for selling this food, most of them push it. Remember, they make their living off of sick pets.
Just be careful what you feed your babies...their lives depend on it!!
With all the recalls, you need to check out the ingredients. Make sure there is no CORN, no WHEAT and NO By-Products of any kind.
We used to feed all of our in different rooms but i now allow them to free feed whenever they want. Kissy used to have to have chicken or hamberger mixed in with her food to make her eat and she would just pick out the food and leave the kibble. We got on this new food and now they don't have to have anything in there to eat it. They all love it and there is no need to feed separately.
