| Satin Balls has anyone heard of them? Hamburger, Oatmeal, Wheat germ, Molasses, Garlic, Total Cereal, eggs, they are supposed to be a healthy treat.

| A friend of mine feeds these to her babies as a treat she makes them really small and she said her babies LOVE them. She also said they will put on weight for those babies that need the weight and that they will get a picky eater to eat. She adds some supplements to hers. Chachi thanks for putting up the recipe. I did not know it was on here before I am sorry. I did not go into depth with her because I wanted to see it anyone here had fed them to their babies and what the results were. Sasha can be alittle picky and the new baby Silas could use some weight.

| Here is another way to make the satin balls. I agree with her about the cereal. Total cereal has a lot of sugar in it. I make peanut butter balls with whole grain cereal because it's best, but cheerios could be crushed and used since it's one of the lowest in sugar. http://www.holisticdog.org/Nutrition...tinballs2.html |

| I learn something new on here every day. Thanks for the links to the recipes, I hadn't heard of these before. Maybe someone should post their favorite satin ball recipe to the cookbook! |

| Satin balls are fantastic for putting weight on them but were created for just that so I woulden't use them long term.

| Thank-You all for your responses, I think I am going to make a small batch and freeze them for special treats, I will make them really small. Sasha and Silas could use a little weight and then we have Seth he does not need any extra.

| The meat for satin balls is raw, yes raw meat is very good for them. Many people (including myself) feed their dogs a completly raw diet. |
