| Throwing Up I put this in this section because I don't think it's an emergency...Yet. Lucy threw up this morning - A LOT. It was a little bit off food and then a lot of what can best be descrived as white egg substance. As if she had eaten an egg and thrown it up and it was foamy. Any idea what this can be? Should I take her to the vet?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi Kathy - when my guys throw up, it inevitably seems to contain some thick/mucousy egg-white type stuff as well. I think it's partly bile - but I also think it might be some of the excess saliva they've swallowed as they were starting to salivate more during nauseousness. Is she feeling better?

| Thank you for asking When I got home yesterday she had thrown up again-some food. There may have been bile but since it was dried I couldn't tell. She seems to be feeling well but just as a precaution I'm going to take her in this afternoon. Since we have been in Mexico with her for a week I'd rather err on the side of caution. She also ate a lot of a flossie the night before so I stopped those for now until her stomach settles. Thanks for responding!
