| Royal Canin for puppies Good? and Greenies? I was just wondering if anyone else feeds Royal Canin dry kibble to their Yorkie and how they feel about this product. Same thing for Greenies My Jinxy just loves them both. I just started switching over to Royal Canin and she loves it... she just loves greenies. She hit five pounds so I thought I would let her try them since she is of age and size. She loves those things. I was feeding her Pedigree for puppies kibble and wet puppy food but she seemed to lose interest and someone suggested this kibble to me so I tried to mix it in with her other food and she divoured it. SHe only eats 2x's a day and has so much energy. Mom is tired by the end of the day since she spends most of the day with me. It's funny I think I have her so spoiled because once I leave the room and my fiance is with her, she loves him too, but if I leave she goes crazy trying to find out where I am. I love it. http://www.royalcanin.us/ www.greenies.com Last edited by Jinxy; 08-06-2007 at 02:29 PM. |

| Royal Canin my baby boy, who is eight months, loves royal canin Yorshire 28. My groomer sugested that i should change it to Royal Canin Beauty (she said it was better for his coat). i gave one time greenies and he had a little diarrea so no more greenies for him.

| I Stopped Feeding Sammy Greenies, Because I Had Heard About Them Choking On Them. As For Royal Canin, I Am Going To Either Switch Or Not Give Him Any Kibble At All. I Homecook For Him Now. I Had Also Read On Yorkietalk ,that Royal Canin Was Not That Good For Yorkies. |

| Check out RC pet food on dogfoodanalysis.com. It is just a one star pet food out of 6 stars. I would suggest feeding 4 or 5 stars food. 6 stars just little too much protein. I personally feeding Chloe Canidae and she LOVES it!!!! I heard so much good stuff about Artemis also. So, I wil try that also (I actually have sample at home!! But it is for adult and Chloe is just 11 months old) If you are not sure if your furbabies like the food, go to their websites and ask for sample!!! http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...ct=286&cat=all It is not good at all. It was recall earlier sometimes this year I believe. |

| As for greenies, I stop feeding Chloe it even she LOVES it. I just dont want to take any risk that she might choke by it. Try Merrick bully stick or flossies. I heard so much good stuff about it also!! |

| wow, i went to that webite and you are right, royal canin is no good at all. they do not recommend it at all. maybe that is why he licks his fur on his paws all the time now. thanks goodness i have about 2 cups worth left. i think i am going to stop kibble all together and just feed my homecooking, with the supplements and give him bully sticks for his teeth, besides brushing them |

| Lucy came home from the breeder on RC Small Puppy (I think it's called and so far it's been fine for her. Small firm poops, etc, he skin is good and she is shiny. I guess I'm going to have to start looking to a new food when she is ready to go off the puppy food though I'm kind of dreading it. Switching my Shepherds over from puppy food - they were also on RCanine(I've had Shepherds my whole life) was a nightmare and took forever to get right. I'm starting to lean toward homecooking for Lucy. Best of luck with your decision. I'm sure you will get a lot of helpful advice
