| Frontline Plus Hello, We just got the Frontline Plus for Lucy - it says for dogs 8 weeks up and up to 20 pounds. She is 4 months and weighs 2 lbs. 10 oz. Should we use the whole application on her? It doesn't say anything about using less for smaller dogs but just wondering what everyone else does?

| Kalina is almost 4 months and weighs 2lb 14oz. She has had her second full application of Frontline Plus, as per both Breeder and Vet suggestion. She has no reaction whatsoever and has been flea and tick free. I do it once a month, year round. They sell it according to weight, don't they?

My Lil Man! Donating Member | Yea I would wait until she is a little bit bigger. I have a 1 1/2 yr old who weighs about 5 1/2lbs. I started puttin frontline plus on him when he turned a year old since yorkies are small. I use all of it now on him but when I first started..i used only like 1/2 then went up to 3/4 and now he gets the whole dose. Until you decide to use the frontline..a great shampoo is bioguard. It is a gentle shampoo and can be used for dogs and cats of all ages plus if you use it with your frontline..it wont wash it off! But if your baby gets a good number of fleas...a quick fix is wash her in plain ole original dawn and use a good oatmeal conditioner to keep from it drying her coat and skin out! |
