| Which calcium/phosphorus/calcium phosphate supplements do you use? Ellie went to the vet tonight and we told her about Ellie getting homecooked food. She is fine with it but insists on supplementing with atleast calcium and phosphorus (which I agree with). We are going to start Ellie on Missing Link Vegetarian Formula and I would like to know what products everyone else uses for calcium, calcium phosphate and phosphorus. Thank You

| Darn it all. It looks like it is bone meal for Ellie which is something I did not want to do. It is hard to think of her as a dog sometimes that has to eat that "stuff". How gross. I don't wanna but I know I gotta.

| Well, I was reading something about bone meal and the article says it can be contaminated with lead and mercury. I also read the ingredients for one brand and it has fluoride as the first ingredient which is toxic, especially if swallowed. I'm very confused.

| You could use calcium carbonate instead or bake eggshells in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 min and crush them into fine powder
