| Heartworm/tapeworm combo med ? We have been trying to break a tapeworm cycle for Gizmo and it's almost been three weeks since his last tapeworm treatment and almost a month since his heartworm. I am thinking about changing to the heartworm med that contains a tapeworm med as well. What are your thoughts? Separate meds, one med? What is the name of the heartworm/tapeworm combo?

| Thanks for that, but didn't see any mention of tapeworms specifically in any of their literature. I did find these medications Interceptor Spectrum http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/...ing%20Products Canimax Allwormer Tablets http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/...ing%20Products

| Interceptor is the heartworm medicine Gizmo is already on, but I guess it's not the spectrum type...That sounds good because it won't be changing his meds too much if I switch to another type of the same meds.

| Newer does NOT mean better, I have learned that one! My concern here is giving him too many different kinds of medication. I try to stay with the less is more philosophy with my puppy, but I am so new to this, who knows? He's also due for his next booster soon also. I am going to put the rabies off for another month or so. That just seems like a lot of meds for this little guy to deal with. And don't you redo the flea treatment (Frontline) once a month?
