I just purchased my puppy a few days ago. after comparing to his brother, who was bought by my friend the next day, i then realized my puppy has no hair on his tail and legs compared to his brother puppy, who has a full set of hair. My puppy tail bone and feet are completely exposed except a few strands of long hair and his brother has a full set of hair. I now started to worry that maybe there is something wrong with my puppy that the seller/breeder is not telling me. Can anyone help and tell me if there is something wrong with my puppy?

She said she got the their health checked and gave me a list that looks homemade with the dates of shots and stuff, with no vet info at all. I asked about that and she said thats what she gets from the vet.

Is her vet close..take the pup for a health check, if not go to your vet in case it gets out of hand..you should not be able to see the skin on a puppy, except its belly, inside of ears, nose..common places.

i just got a 18mon old yorkie yesterday. she is 3.8 pounds. is that a normal size? you can see her skin on her body from back of head on the way to her butt. the skin is real blue lookin. she is gold everywhere esle and the hair is very thick. she does have little hair on back but it is very thin to none. i did take her to the vet today and the did skin test and hair folical test. the vet says in can take up to 10 days to get results. please help me figure out what is wrong if you have any information.

the vet said she was ok, but she just seems so small to me cause i can actually see her body. do you have any tips to get her hair regrowing. the vet thinks she may have ringworms or maybe colour dilution alopecia. the vet gave me meds to give oral once a day for 4 weeks. also a medicated shampoo to wash her with every 3 days. i will post pic soon. my digital camera is not working properly right now.

I just came back from the vet (2nd opinion), and they both dont know what is wrong with her hair loss. No explainations. This one says it not even grow back. I am really upset now. I just got him less than a week and was told by the seller that he will grow the hair back, so thats why i got him. That really pisses me off. I will post some pics when i know how.

| Did you have a contract with this person? Was she a breeder or just had a random litter? There is something wrong and it could be mange or alopecia, i would go to a vet and demand testing!

the lady i bought her from is a breeder. she said, that she bought her as a puppy to breed her. breeder said she never had a good full coat of hair. not up to breeding standards anyways. she also told me that she never came into heat. i have taken her to my vet and am waiting to get her skin and hair folical test results back. meanwhile i am giving her oral medicine daily and using a medicated shampoo every 3rd day. her hair looks good to me on the gold parts (head, face, parts of leg, tummy, butt, and chest). the skin and hair on her back is the problem. from the back of her head all the way to her top part of tail. the hair is gold underneath her tail, but just blue/grey skin on top of tail. her skin i very grey/blue and dry patchey. she does have hair on blue/grey skin, but it is just very thin and wispy. i am hoping it is not the alopecia. i guess the test will tell soon. i just love her to piece's no matter what her hair looks like! she is also has a puppy cut right now. how long does it usually take for the hair to grow back out?

I wish I can return mine but she made me signed a 2-day return policy. She lied to me that the hair will grow back before I bought it. I brought him to the vet last night and the vet told me that his hair may never grow back again. I am very upset and sad at the same time. I don't know what to do now.
