Chloe's head hair is falling out My puppy Chloe's hair on her head is falling out. She looks like a balding old man on the top with only a few black wisp left When I took her for her first check up from the breeder they found tons ear mites. I have been treating them since with ear drop medication once a week for a month now that my vet prescribed. Even when I first got her the hair on her muzzle was short and dark rust colored like on her little legs, which are also have very short hair. My vet says not to worry it will grow so does her breeder. I used this breeder because I love how my sister in laws Yorkie's Toby hair turned out long and silky at 3 years old. My Chloe has the same parents as her Toby but my sister in law says Toby's hair didn't look like this when he was a pup. Is their anything I can do? She a real sweetheart and I love her so much. This picture was taken a few weeks ago it is not even possible to put a bow in now it is only about 1//8 inch long.

My Pebbles hair did the same thing and it grew right back in. When I took her to the vet for her shots I asked her about it and she said it would grow back in and sure enough it is just as long as the rest of the hair on her head now. But for a while I was beginning to wonder because she did have a little bald spot on the top of her head LOL.

She only had a bow in twice, once when I first brought her home and the day I took this picture when she was 10 weeks old. The hair broke off with the ponytail and their isn't enough hair left to even consider putting one in now. She is almost 13 weeks old now and their are only few strand of black left the hair their now is reddish and is short like a Chihuahua like on her legs. I started looking up thin hair on YT and found what some people call red leg Yorkie's and she looks a lot like them. The hair on her body is a thick black color and very straight, it is just her head and legs that are thin and short. It make her head look to small for her body. No matter what she is beautiful to me she is so sweet and so loving. My sister says she looks like a pretty baby fox. I"ll post another picture later.

I would love to have my Chloe grow up to look like your Bailey. I can see now what her hair might look like when she is older and I'm so happy. My other puppy Claire has the fuzzy hair around her nose and I think she is going to be very light colored in the face. Her top is coming in silver. These are my first Yorkie's I've had Maltese all my life but wanted something different after my little Holly passed away in early May at 16.

Bailey is my first yorkie too. I find yorkies so interesting, they change so much, Bailey's back is starting to lighten up in areas, it's like you never know what they will look, they keep you guessing I hope you post pics in the album section, I would love to see more of your little ones!
