I just got my yorkie back from the breeder last night, he had Kennel Cough real bad and she help nurse him back to health. I notice today he just doesnt seem interested in anything. He has the diarreaha alittle bit and eats very little. He acts like a different dog now with us. His ears lay back and he crawls to us when we call his name, as if he is scared. Could this be ...because he is not used to us? The relocation is new for him again. The breeder had other Yorkies that he ran around and played with and we only have him. Could it be Lonliness? Will he get over this or will it make him sick? He will be 4 months old and weighs 1lb 11ozs. It breaks my heart to see him look so sad. What can I do to make it better? Is this consider 'Relocation Stress' ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Katharine

The poor little guy is through alot already in his short life. My guess would be that he is still recovering and somewhat confused about the back and forth. He just needs tons of love and body contact. Maybe you can hold and carry him around as much as possible (even in a "sling" blanket like for babies), and of course he has to sleep in your bed at night... (As you can see I'm an advocate for Yorkie babies that miss their birth family... )

When he is comfortable in his new home and finds out he isn't going to be leaving, he will blossom. Some take longer than others at adjusting. He sounds like such a sweet boy. Just play with him and give him love and he will soon learn that is his home.

				   | If he is not eating you may want to make sure that you have a little nutrical on hand. He is pretty little (under 2 lbs).

Thankyou everyone for your kind words and replies. I took My baby Murphy to the Vet Today and he now weighs 1lb 13ozs, the Dr told me that he is much better then when she saw him last which was a month ago and he was so very sick. He plays and cuddles with me on the sofa while I read a book, and he runs around the ottoman and voices his opinion now and then with a strong but tiny bark I could not imagine my life without him now, as I have waited such a long time to find him. It will take time for him to adjust properly to his new home but I will be there every step of the way THANKYOU ALL!!
