| Keep any eye on him and pick up the poop as soon as he goes. they usually outgrow it. I've heard that those products don't work, but have never tried them myself. My Chachi was a poop eater, but he outgrew it. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | YES! It's Solid Gold's S.E.P. (stop eating poop) - it worked like a charm for my Wylie. We used for about a month, broke the habit, and he's never eaten poop since. I got mine online somewhere - just do a search.

| Freyja was a notorious poop eater and we used Forbid in her food. It worked but it also upset her tummy. Tried pineapple but I don't think she liked the taste. She is getting much better now. She will only do it if she is bored and wants attention. I make sure I pick it up right away off the pee pad. Also I am training her to go outside and she doesn't seem interested then. |

| Oh dear! We feel your pain!!! We have the same problem. We have to catch him doing his #2 and pick it up right away! I've tried the product which makes the poo spicy so the doggie doesn't like it, but it doesn't work for us. Although I haven' t tried the Solid Gold product. I've been told by the vet and otherwise that eventually your little one will out grow this habit! Good luck & hang-in-there!

| MSG or anything that acts as a tenderizer should work . . that is what I am told. I tried on Tiger as he is a big time pooper eater and it works sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't Of course, I am NOT consistent with putting it as I keep forgetting . What is weird is he only eats his afternoon poop. not the morning or evening poop go figure! |

| FOR-BID stops coprophagy (pets eating stool). Vegetable protein and sodium glutamate work in the digestive system to give stools a bad taste. Directions: Simply sprinkle FOR-BID on dog food and after the food is consumed, this will impart a forbidden and unpalatable taste to the feces. FOR-BID is not an enzyme mixture witch alters the normal endogenous digestive process. FOR-BID has been used by thousands of veterinarians in both cats and dogs without adverse reactions and with excellent efficacy. Recommended Administration Large dogs, the size of German shepherds, sprinkle the contents of 1/2 package on the dog food two times a day for 5 to 6 days (morning and night). This will usually curb coprophagy for months, often permanently. In small dogs or puppies, you may give one-quarter of a pack two times a day for four days (morning and night). Cats 1/4 packet of FOR-BID per day, for 4-5 days. Horses, we have reports that 1 1/2 packs of FOR-BID, morning noon and night for 2-3 days appears to curb this habit. If Coprophagy starts again after initial dosage of FOR-BID, give 1 gram per day (from the 8 gram package) for 2-3 weeks or as necessary.
