| Can you give baths if 16 wk yorkie is on Advantage? [COLOR=Magenta]My 16 wk 3.5 pound yorkie has been on her first advantage treatment for about a week. We got fleas in Southern California due to the large amount of rain this year. We are visiting from Idaho. She had NO fleas when we came down here in April. Can I give her a bath while on Advantage? Will it remain effective? Thanks in advance for any advice. beckgirl1 & Woserit |

| I have used Advantage before, and I believe that you can bathe them after 24 hours of you putting it on. I am not positive, but that's how most of them are. Does it not say on the packaging if it's okay to bathe them or not? It should... or maybe you can see if they have a website and see if it says on there.

| We have always used Advantage on Toto and our vet says it's OK to bathe her. I apply it a few hours after her bath [I bathe her once a week, more if she smells dirty] and if we find a flea before the month is up, our vet said it was OK to apply it again.

| From the advantage webpage Will Advantage still work if my pet goes swimming or takes a bath? Advantage is water-resistant. It continues to work even when your pet gets wet. Advantage works against fleas even after a shampooing, swimming or exposure to rain or sunlight.
