| Yorkie testicles Hi Everyone, New Yorkie owner here-this is my first time posting. My Ziggy has been off all week. He is 9 lbs (I know-a giant!) at 5 months and has been off his food and drink all week; doesn't even want his treats. He is not overweight, just a very big Yorkie-already bigger than his mother and father. Today he has had a few episodes where he has been shaking. He wants to sleep all day and night. Otherwise, he is still very playful and likes to go for long walks-today we did 7 km. He has had all his shots and vet checks and was just checked out at the vet last week. I noticed yesterday that he now has testicles-surprise!!. The skin over them is quite purple but he doesn't seem to be in pain. Is this colouration normal for Yorkies? Call me naiive but I don't know about this stuff. Just looking for your thoughts on what you think might be up with him. Does teething cause these symptoms? TIA, Charlene in NS |

| It sounds like he might have had a slight hypoglycemc episode do to his not eating. Do you have some nutrical you can gve him? If not give him some honey and give it 3 times a day while hes not eating. Have you tried to fix him some chicken and rice to encourage him to eat?? And yes the testes are a purple color

| Thanks! I feel kind of dumb but the skin there before was white and then overnight surprise its now purple. Do you think that given his weight he is as prone to hypogycemia as dogs half his size? Charlene |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | hypo They are like humans anyone can have it. Check his gums are they greyish or pale? I agree with the nutrical. My baby is hypo and its very important they eat small meals every 3-5 hours. Try home cooking for him. If you need a list od easy things to fix that are enticing let me know. I struggle with getting my fur baby to eat all the time! He can be a bugger!
