Food Hi, I was wondering what some of you feed your yorkie? I am currently feeding her science diet and up to a couple days ago she liked it. but now for a few days now she really won't eat it. she will eat anything else, some bread and some cheerios, she loves that. so its not an appetite problem? can anyone help me out. Im willing to try anything to get her to eat again! Thanks so much

my yorkie is so finicky!! I am still trying to figure this problem out myself. my bella is a little over 5 months and still i cant find a food for her. we were on royal canin then science diet...she stopped eating both. i recently tried merricks but she wont eat that either. i cooked for her and now i am afraid she now is holding out for something better. but being that she is only 1 pound 14 oz she cant do that because of low sugar. any suggestions? cooking did help but i fed her steak one day and now she wont even eat eggs when i cook them. oh and she is not acting sick she is playful and acting normal...no signs of sugar probs. thevvet is actually telling me to force feed her with a syringe again. this is so crazy i just cant see myself cooking for her everyday for the rest of her life...help!!

I tried Innova with our picky pup and she wanted nothing to do with it. She drives my husband and I crazy. She likes one food one day and hates it the next. We are now having her tested for possible liver shunt

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Katchiri - many Science Diet foods have fillers - maybe try Canidae, Innova, Merrick - something more wholesome? Some dogs, I swear, know and prefer a higher quality food, little stinkers.

My puppy has the same problem- one day she'll eat great for at least 2 meals and even eat part of a third one. And then some days (like today she didn't eat her breakfast) she won't even look at her food! It drives me crazy! Right now she's being treated for possible parasites/worms or something- though the vet didn't find anything definite so that might be part of the problem...I think the main problem is she's just so small! I fed her nutrical last night with her few bites of dinner and she seemed to love it! So i'd try that just to make sure your puppy is getting something. I also have fed her scrambled eggs and she liked that. My puppy's only 1.12 lbs so I definitely feel like I want her to eat every single meal but I think sometimes she's just not hungry at all! Who knew that Yorkies were such picky eaters??!! I certainly didn't until 2 weeks ago!
