| Be careful not to give too much carrots to your yorkie . Carrots have a high content of calcium oxalate and yorkies have a genetic predisposition to form calcium oxa stones . Also avoid giving spinach and raw celery . |

| From my vet . Yorkies have a genetic predisposition to develop kidney and bladder stones ( it's in the breed ) and you want to limit foods that have hight content in calcium oxa ...if you want to give them carrots and celri boil them first . Royce developped calcium oxa stones and I received a whole documentation from U of Minessota regarding foods high in cal oxa. |
