Healthwise?or Innova? Healthwise has a food for active dogs which they say is suited for terriers and toy breeds. Has anyone used this? What is your opinion? Also, I have noticed that a great deal of people here highly recommend Innova. Which Innova food is appropriate for a 9 week old puppy? Currently, I am feeding Nutro Natural Choice for puppies. I am also supplementing with Nutri-Stat. Carl doesn't really eat the Nutro well unless I mix it with the Nutri-Stat. At some point I have to stop using the Nutri-Stat so, I want a good quality kibble that he will enjoy. I'm also hoping for smaller poop. He seems to have a lot of soft (but formed) poop on this food. Any input on your experiences is greatly appreciated. Emily

Hello and welcome to YorkieTalk, so glad you could make it! I personally Love Innova. I've been feeding regular innova for quite some time now, but am going to be switching all 3 of my pups to Innova EVO. Although it's higher calorie, our puppies need it. it's great for small breed dogs (Innova EVO), but not recommended for bigger dogs. if you want more information on it, visit their website and if you decide to go with Innova, you can also look for distributors in your area. (they are not found at petco/petsmart) www.naturapet.com

I totally love innova. it's a good company and archie loves the food. i've fed archie innova when he was 5 months old...I don't think there is an age restriction on it, but i'm not sure...i believe there is a puppy formula...

I am in the process ofswitching to Innova! I love the idea behind it. BeanSprout is 15 weeks old and we are using the Puppy formula. Take it slow. Beanie's poops turned yellow and soft when I switched too fast. Now,I am using the Innova as treats until he gets a little older--- 5 months. Apparently, they adjust better as they age. If you need a food you can get at PetSmart,go for Blue Buffalo, aka, Blue. it looks great too. The Whole Dog Journal has a list of foods.... Search old posts for it. Good luck with it!!!

Well, I'm leaning towards Innova. I did the comparison on their site and I read the whole dog list. I like the ingredients in both Healthwise and Innova. I'm just worried about the caloric intake in Healthwise. I was excited about RC Yorkie until I read all these "itching" stories associated with it.

| I just had this same question. I have been feeding mine Eukanuba for a long time. I thought it was one of the best, but maybe not. I might look into this Innova.
