| NEW! Royal Canin dry food recall I didn't see this posted anywhere else. Royal Canin announced a recall of the following dry foods on Friday I love the way they always stress that the recall is voluntary. Any recall is voluntary because the FDA has already said that they can't force any recall. The following eight Sensible Choice dry dog food products and seven Kasco dry dog and cat food products with date codes between July 28, 2006 to April 30, 2007 are being voluntarily recalled: SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) (available in pet specialty stores nationwide) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) Chicken and Rice Adult (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) Chicken and Rice Reduced (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) Lamb and Rice Reduced (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) Chicken and Rice Puppy (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) Chicken and Rice Large Breed Puppy (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) NATURAL BLEND Adult (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) NATURAL BLEND Senior (Dry Dog Food) – SENSIBLE CHOICE(R) NATURAL BLEND Puppy (Dry Dog Food) KASCO(R) (available in pet specialty stores nationwide) – KASCO(R) Chunks (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Hi Energy (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Maintenance (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Mealettes (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Mini Chunks (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Puppy (Dry Dog Food) – KASCO(R) Cat (Dry Cat Food) http://www.itchmo.com/read/royal-can...ecall_20070511

| I know ours is not on the list but I just got a new bag and both my yorkies are refusing to eat it. Only if there is no choice they will but they don't like it like they use to. So I'm taking it as a hint and not giving it to them anymore.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | All 3 of mine were eating the recalled Sensible Choice Natural Blend and I called Rc when the other types were recalled and they assurred me that the Natural Blend was fine. I switched them anyway but Pixie has eaten that her whole life as her breeder is the one that gave me it and all 3 started eating it. I am now using California Natural and Solid Gold.

| I have my puppy on Royal Canin it's puppy of some sort but I don't think it's lamb and rice- my fiance has to check for me since I'm at work and his mother has the puppy! Roo seems to like it all right but she's not super partial to it (she barely ate at all yesterday) is there something better that I should be feeding her? I'm so freaked out with all the recalls!! |
