| Didn't like what Frontline told me..... I started a thread the other day asking about the right dosage of Frontline if I where to split a larger dose among dogs....the answers I got was what I did.... I don't like the idea of using a pesticide on my yorkie, it just doesn't sit well w/ me......anyway, I put it on 12 days ago (& felt like sh*t doing it), last night I found a small tick attached to Jack ...Needless to say I was POed. I called the co. this morning & asked how does Frontline keep ticks off. She said they just walk through the dogs hair & are exposed to it..die.. & drop off...I then told her I found one ATTACHED. She said that's common also....I told her that if the only way to kill the fleas & ticks is to be bit that kinda defeats the purpose of using the product, there still exposed to the bites & if the tick had Lyme he's still exposed to that....she said basically yes....I'm going back to Neem shampoo & fossil shell flour & I will find something else that's not dangerous to the dog.....

| I've always used, "Ark Naturals" Neem Shampoo.... it was ordered from: http://www.arknaturals.com/products/...&Product_ID=10 they also have a spray which I plan to try this year...I just ordered this new one from: http://www.highcascadeemus.com/xcart...hp?productid=3 the ark one you leave it on for five minutes then rinse ...I would brush him out on a white towel to see if anything would come off & it sure would, I'd find about 4-5 dead fleas....I'm trying the 4 in 1 shampoo because it says it repels the fleas off where I believe the neem only kills when bathed. I just tried the Frontline because I thought it would be easier, but I'm going back to what I used before.....

| I don't buy "flea shampoo" at the store because it usually contains "pyrethrins" it's an insecticide & it's just as bad as Frontline that's why I use Neem shampoo...heres some info on pyrethrins...... http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=2252

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Hey I forgot to ask. Does the Frontline spray work the same way. Do they tick/fleas still have to be able to bite before being killed???
