| Loosing Puppy Teeth This is probably gonna be a really stupid question BUT... What kind of time period is there from them loosing their first puppy tooth till the last one? I'm not talking exact, just roughly. Gypsy is 6.5months and in the last 2 days she has lost 6 teeth and I've found ALL of those ones but when I look I can just see some blood round the bottom of the new teeth so there's no way of telling if she's lost anymore. Is is normal to loose that many is such a small space of time? Poor little girl is off her food but chewing on anything like bad!!!!

| They usually start losing them about 4 months and will continue to up to a year. By a year if they havent all fallen out you want to have them pulled. It is normal at Gypsys age to lose alot of teeth. Play lots of tug of war with her to help loosten those teeth

I am not sure exactly, but Bobbi had 2 rows of teeth. He lost like 6 in a couple of days too and his tongue would slip out The vet wanted to wait til he was 8 months to re-evaluate his teeth. Sure enough he had all 4 canines retained plus 3 others lose........so he got 7 teeth pulled recently. His breath is non-stinky anymore

| Thank you both. I feel better now. I didn't know whether it was normal to loose them like that! My last dog was a Border Collie and I only ever found one of them so I had no idea how fast they loose them. Her's just seemed to be several a day! I have a cream carpet so it was lucky to find them, except the one in the bed and one under my O/H's pillow, dunno how that got there but the tooth fairy didn't take it! She's been loving playing with her BoBo just lately and he's pretty bloody so I think that's helping some of them come out. She lost two of them today too and that was when playing with BoBo. Jessy, you said about stinky breathe, Gypsy has her teeth cleaned everyday and chews dental chews and her breathe still stinks, could that be down to loosing her teeth?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wylie's breath was nasty during his teeth-losing stage. I think alot of "stuff" collects in the newly empty pockets and/or within any double rows. Hang in there, it does go away!
