| what are the signs?? what kind of symptoms are the dogs that have been affected by this tainted dog food showing? what is it doing to the babies? how does one know if their dog has been affected? I am scared to death of this. I know there have been many many posts about how we feel about the dog food recalls but now that it is affecting royal canine, i am scared plum out of my mind. maggie eats RC mini 33 (which I haven't seen on any lists but...) WHEN DOES IT STOP?? Maggie is fine...don't get me wrong. I haven't noticed anything major...she has been kinda hacking up the last couple of days but not vomiting. just that coughing noise they make sometimes. but seriously...I can't help but worry. and if they know that stuff imported from china has been tainted...why didn't they call this recall a long time ago? if it were me, i would not be taking ANY chances. if I manufactured a food that went out to the public, and i knew that ONE single ingredient that came from china was tainted...i would pull my stuff if I ordered ANYTHING from china. you just can't risk it. i'm getting angry about this now. I really didn't want to rant...just kinda curious as to what symptoms the affected dogs were showing....anyone know??

| Hi, I'm sorry I don't know what the symptoms are but I hope your baby is fine and the hacking stops soon.

| Symptons I read in our local newspaper that the symptons are vomiting, diarrhea and the dog's refusal to eat and drink or the dog drinking more than usual. If your dog is showing any of these symptoms, take an urine sample and have the vet test it for liver disfunction. |

| Hmmmm I dont really know what the symptoms are either, but i totally agree with you. It is really sickening that these foods went on the shelves and it took so long to recall them

drinking excess amounts of water frequent urination dilute urine with little color or order leakage of urine vomiting weight loss anorexia lethargy muscle weakness elevated BUN (blood urea nitrogen) and creatinine significant protein in the urine i am assuming this is what is happening to them...how incredibly sad. I don't even know what to feed her. we buy "Natures Select" www.delivermypetfood.com for our other dogs. I have heard so much good about the Royal Canine that I wanted maggie on that. But I think we will put her on the Natures Select puppy food. It hasn't been on any of the lists and seems to have good ingredients. if I hear anything bad about this food...I am going to have to start cooking for them. it is just getting out of hand.
