| am I a bad momma?? I feel so horrible! Kayah went into heat the 20th and it looks like she is in so much pain.. she's just lying around all sad for the past few days not wanting to do anything at all.. Ok so the reason I haven't spayed her is because when I got her, I was thinking of breeding her.. but once I came on this site and saw all the dedication a lot of these breeders have to making sure they're producing the best quality they can.. and the way the puppies are born (eww) I decided to leave it to the professionals.. (although I would ba a great mamma's momma) I know all the the pros that go with spaying a dog.. but does anyone have any cons? I think the only con I would have would be the regret of not having puppies I'm just soo confused and I feel so bad.. I don't want her to go through the pain of surgery.. but then again, a few days is better than her having to go through this for 2+ weeks every six months Please don't everybody yell at me all at once But I was just wondering if you guys would give me your imput on to why I should NOT spay her.. last night, we were getting ready for bed and Kayah went into her rest bed.. She sleeps in bed with momma, so that's what I call her other bed .. and this is what I saw:

| oh this is such a good question. I am interested to know myself. When I got my Izzy I got a female in case I decided to breed. I do want a puppy from her. She is only 4 months old so she hasn't had a heat yet. I don't want her to be miserable. Do the heats actually last 2 weeks?

I can't imagine anyone yelling at you, you're trying to do what is best. I've always had all of my animals fixed, never considered any other option, so I'm not the one to tell you why not to. I know there are members on here who choose not to though, who will be happy to help. I believe Stedman and Tatum's mom doesn't plan on having them fixed (hope I'm remembering that right). She's great, I'm sure you could ask her opinion! Good luck to you whatever you decide.
