feed them Deli Fresh from Pet Smart. The only draw back is the size of the kibble, I find I have to half it for mine. I wrote them and they just told me that my baby's have teeth that will take care of that. That is not the problem it is to big for their mouth. I have not changed because it took for ever to find one that they like and is good for them. So I guess I will keep breaking it in half!!!! Hugs Mary

I was wondering if you know anything about flint river ranch dog food?? I switched awhile ago from Orijen to this because they had good reviews. I was just wondering. It is a small private company...any suggestions will help because this is what I am currently feeding my babies and they love it! Last edited by Jennxling; 01-03-2010 at 02:27 AM. | |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Dr. B's post on F/B today Hi all, Just thought I would share Dr. Karen Becker's post today on Facebook! I liked it a lot!! Karen Becker "is going to be blunt: No Science Diet, no Iams, no Eukanuba, no Purina....don't do it people...educate yourselves enough to "just say NO." Right to your uneducated vet's face." Now this is the kind of Vet I like!!!! |

| Hi, Thank you for posting this information. By any chance have you or anyone else had a positive or negative experience with Royal Canin, Blue Buffalo or Orijen? My wife and I have been giving our little guy Science Diet and he doesn't seem to want to touch the stuff any more. Our vet told us that he's about 2 pounds under weight and for his size that's a significant amount to be under... There are so many choices and frankly I don't place a lot of faith in the guidance I get from the teenagers working at pet smart over the weekends... Thanks again for your post as well as any feedback anyone is willing to share. J. |

| In my opinion, the Hill's Science diet is a low quality food with a high price! Hope your dog puts weight on soon, it must be so scary for you! Try one of the 6 star foods that have been mentioned above. |

| Okay...So based on the recommendations above I went out and picked up Wellness Core. The folks at the pet store mentioned that it's probably one of the best foods they've ever carried at Petco. I also bought a can of Halo chicken stew (which frankly, looked and smelled just like regular chicken stew. Okay...I'll admit it I was tempted to try it :0)~) and Wellness Core Chicken & Turkey canned food. But of course, Charlie won't touch any of it. Belles our Chihuahua devoured the Halo Chicken Stew and turned her nose up to both Wellness products. Presently he's only eating a product from a company called Deli Fresh Pet (Deli Fresh - Natural Dog Food). It's refrigerated and looks just like salami. It seems to be okay from a nutritional stand point but no where near the caliber of any of the 6 star foods mentioned above. He was eating Science Diet but as I mentioned earlier he doesn't seem to like it any more. This product is obviously considered soft food and is not AAFCO approved so I don't want to continue to give him this for a long period of time. I know Yorkies are picky eaters but our little man is going to drive us to drink! Any feed back out there on which 6 star dry food is a home run and tastes great to picky eaters? Thanks in advance for your responses and guidance. J. |
