| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | omg i can't believe natural balance is being recalled too! that's a good food. Plus there is no wheat gluten in it so what's causing the problem. I was gonna stick with dog food and continue to feed canidae but now that this is being recalled and starting to think i should cook for morgan instead. They really need to get this figured out STAT.

| On a similar note, I feed my Yorkie Wellness under the Mother Hubbard company. Great company with food that my Toby loves, human grade dog food with deboned chicken as their first ingredient (I buy the puppy brand). Other flavors include salmon, lamb and vegetables. Note found on their site: Dear Pet Parents, As you may already know, Wellness brand pet food is NOT affected by the product recall involving wheat gluten and other pet food manufacturers. We do not use wheat gluten in our products, and none of our products are made in the Menu Foods Emporia plant that is the main focus of the product recall. All Wellness products, including canned, dry, treats and supplements can be enjoyed safely. Consistent with our mission of providing uncompromising nutrition for dogs and cats, Wellness is committed to healthy, high-quality and natural pet food ingredients and recipes. Our Wellness products, for example, do not contain wheat, corn or soy or any artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. http://www.oldmotherhubbard.com/well...hilosophy.html |

| That list is the Menu Foods recall list... What I'm talking about is a voluntary recall by Natural Balance. Go to their official websites: www.naturalbalanceinc.com or www.naturalbalance.net and you will see that they state that people have been reporting vomiting and kidney problems from dogs on their foods and they are pulling it off the shelves. You can call Petco also and they will tell you.

| I've been feeding the NB Venison for close to 3 years. I took them in Tuesday when I heard about the recall and had bloodwork done and a urinalysis. Both dogs had abnormal results...we're going back this afternoon for more bloodwork and urine tests. I am beyond furious at NB. They advertise all US ingredients and now they're not only saying the rice protein came from China but it's not even listed on their bags under ingredients. They said it was a new addition and they have up to 3 months to put it on the bag!!!!
