| Recommendations for aging Glucosamine etc Hi All, This is Izzy dad here. Cant find my login info for that name. Izzy is now 12.5 and has been through a lot of digestive issues over the last month $3K worth. Now I notice she is limping slightly, but I want to get on the right side of it and be as proactive as I can. What brands of supplements do you all have experience with for this? In general I am not a fan of box store supplements as they tend to be profit driven rather than results oriented. There used to be a company out of NH that started by making supplements for horses and then went into things for dogs. Those worked really well for my aging Lab, but I cant remember the name of the company so here I am. Any help greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me at Chrisarn2@aol.com also. Thank you all so much! |

| Have you had the vet check out the limp first to make sure it’s not something that needs to be tended to or she might need pain meds for. Glucosamine is guaranteed to work especially with actual pain.

| Imho, I would hold off on any new supplements until her tummy issues are resolved. When I tried glucosamine on Peek a Boo, he would vomit, too rich and his system couldn’t tolerate it. Believe it or not, 99% of the times my dogs came down with limping issues were caused by an acorn shell getting stuck on a toe pad, lol. Silly but they can be very difficult to see.
