healthy dog food I just wanted to post here and make a suggestion as to what to feed your dogs, since the food recall affected so many brands. I've been feeding my dog this food, and it's not on the recall list. it's human-grade, and you can't buy it in stores. you have to order it online and get it delivered. i actually like that! I order more cat food than dog food though. it's great having a small dog, isn't it? lol. anyway, you can check it out here: http://www.healthypetnet.com/kendalb they have dog snacks as well. just thought I'd mention it....

I've been home cooking for my dogs for 50 years and while being raised by grandparents, they too home cooked for their dogs. I have never trusted dog foods of any kind.

wow! That's great. When I have an actual kitchen, I'd love to do that for my dog too. Do you have to do it daily, or do you do it once a week or something and freeze it....?

I make up their main meal ingredients to last a month and freeze about 5 days worth in seperate freezer zip-loc bags. They also get boiled egg white and steel cut oats mixed into it for breakfast, yogurt and fruit for lunch and just the mix for dinner. Cats will need a different type of home made food than dogs.
