| I feed Canidae and Merrick ONLY now. Since the recall I am not taking any chances on foods. I think I can trust Canidae and Merrick

| on line and for a small cost, a specialist diet can be made up for your baby __________________ It never ceases to amaze me at all the different ways people think up to make money off of pets these days, but his takes the cake!! There is no possible way anyone can make up a good diet for your dogs. They would not have a clue if your dog is suffering with allergies, and if so what to. Only a Vet. can take the necessary blood test, urine test and a battery of testing to see just exactly how healthy your dog is. Next, you have to give one type of food for three days before trying another. Dog food is NOT, I repeat NOT real food. Hard to say just how many "things" are in it since it isn't government regulated. Do you ever wonder why dogs are having major health problems, cancers and such at an epidemic rate? Try rethinking what your feeding. |

| Blue Buffalo Chicken from Petsmart. Chicken Soup is also good, but harder to find where we live in Jacksonville, FL. I like both of these since they are human food grade and don't have meat by-products or wheat gluten added. Both of these are canned. Last edited by annabelle's mom; 04-10-2007 at 03:03 PM. I respectfully disagree with you. I had to give my medical history, shot history, and numerous other pages of information. If you coulld see what I received, you might not have written what you did. BTW, Sabine does say a home cooked meal is best, and he also taylors a diet this way as well. I did not request it because my situation does not allow me the time to do this. That being said,I agree dog food is not the best way to feed, but there are ways to get around some of the issues with dry food, that the diet I have been given has done. It includes probiotics, digestive enzymes, oils, , oxy drops, and other items as well. I think that if you would read these two related sites, you might find some very good information which is not generally known.. Apprecaite your comments though.. -- Sabine Contreras Canine Care & Nutrition Consultant Creating Healthy Lifestyles for Canines BetterDogCare.com - DogFoodProject.com

Emma gets Adult formula-either Chicken and Rice or Lamb and Rice. Next time we might try the fish and sweet potato variety to see how she likes it. Milli gets Puppy Chicken and Rice. Both are doing well on it, and gobble it up! Blue Buffalo is holistic, which makes me feel better about feeding it to my dogs. The company also makes biscuits and wet food. It's available online and at Petsmart. They were NOT part of this recent recall.
