| Eating grass? Now that the weather is getting warmer, the grass has begun to grow in the back yard. I've noticed that Yuki likes to eat blades of grass. I try to distract her from doing it, but somehow she always ends up eating pieces of grass. My boyfriend says it's not bad for her, but I am not sure. Is it bad for her? Do your Yorkies eat grass too?? |

| I have heard that it induces vomiting and that they eat it when their tummies hurt. |

| She normally only eats a few blades at a time. She hasn't thrown up from eating it yet (knock on wood), however I did just recently switch her food from a "bad brand" to Canidae, and maybe the change is upsetting her stomach. I also noticed she's pooping more. |

| It's an old wives tale that a dog eats grass to make himself throw up when his tummy hurts. I can't recall the source (I've been everywhere lately looking up the food recall stuff), but I did read on one site that regardless of what people think, dogs shouldn't eat grass.

| winnie loves to eat grass. We have to stop her. But once she discovered grasshoppers, grass was a thing of the past. Hunting grasshoppers was much more fun. When she did eat grass it would make her sick. She's never outside alone, so we just try to keep her running around so she doesnt have a chance to eat grass. |

| Roxy's main food group is the grass family . I asked my vet and he said some dogs just like to graze like a cow - it will not hurt them as long as they don't eat any poisionous plants. Grass is fine. Be very careful of FoxTail. Don't be startled by green, smelly poop . We know if Roxy does something on the other side of the house!
