| Dog Food Recall For any one who has not heard about or has not already checked their canned/pouched dog food that they are feeding their cats/dogs I would strongly suggest doing so. The information can be found at: http://www.menufoods.com/recall/index.html The brands affects are: Dog Foods Are: Americas Choice, Preferred Pets Authority Award Best Choice Big Bet Big Red Bloom Cadillac Companion Demoulas Market Basket Eukanuba Food Lion Giant Companion Great Choice Hannaford Hill Country Fare Hy-Vee Iams Laura Lynn Loving Meals Meijers Main Choice Mighty Dog Pouch Mixables Nutriplan Nutro Max Nutro Natural Choice Nutro Ultra Nutro Ol'Roy Canada Ol'Roy US Paws Pet Essentials Pet Pride - Good n Meaty Presidents Choice Price Chopper Priority Canada Priority US Publix Roche Brothers Save-A-Lot Choice Morsels Schnucks Shep Dog Springsfield Prize Sprout Stater Brothers Stop & Shop Companion Tops Companion Wegmans Bruiser Weis Total Pet Western Family US White Rose Winn Dixie Your PetAt the web site you can click on the individual brands in order to check the dates on the packages you have as well as the barcode numbers. If you have any of the types listed and they match the numbers please discontinue use and return them to the store that you purchased them from or dispose of them. Also watch your pets closely for any of the following signs: loss of apetite, excessive water drinking, lethargy, stomach pains, unusual behavior. The dog food is causing kidney failure due to rat poisoning in the food. With this also comes renal failure and numerous other side effects. If the chance is there that your pet ate the food and is displaying any of the signs above I would strongly recommed taking them to see a vet immediately. The progression of these problems are very serious and early treatment and intervention is a necessity.
