| Seriously? Why wouldn't it be unhealthy? I'm sure there are all types of bacteria and parasites that could possibly be passed onto your dog.

| Shawnna- maybe someone knows of something safe for your pups , but that would keep the rabbits away. You may check at your local Lowe's or Home Depot. |

BANNED! | I'm looking foward to answers from this post!! I have 10 stray rabbits running around on my block loose. I caught 2 of them and took them to the animal shelter for proper homes, but the neighbors keep feeding them and they have multiplied. I havent let my furkids out front to play in along time because of this. Thank god I have a huge backyard where they can still play. I actually read that cat urine soaked cat litter would keep the rabbits away, but it didnt work for me. I also heard that rabbits do not like cat nip either, but again that one didnt work for me either. I look foward to any other ideas!!!! |

| My dogs do it also.. it drives me crazy. I try and get em to stop as well, but it's hard running after 3 dogs. It makes me sick to my stomach even thinking about it. I have tried to block any holes in the fence so the rabbits cant get in my yard, but as if that is going to stop em.... I don't know what else to do either...

| Wouldn't you know it - I live in the hills and even with chicken wire around my wrought iron fence, the rabbits managed to burrow underneath. My little Mango ate rabbit poop when she was just 3 months old and I immediately phoned the vet. He had me take her in for a deworming because he said that worms are an unfortunate side effect that can result sometimes (not always) from eating rabbit droppings. |

| Ugh, Percy will eat any kind of poop there is availible. His own, kitty litter, you name it, tried to get in my toddlers diaper once. My previous dog, a Rottie, (sniff, still miss her), had the same problem. Rotties are known to eat poop as well. When I was training her, the vet suggested that I treat it the same as any other unwanted behavior. Give Deter if they are eating their own, and a sharp "no" when seen eating others, rewards for listening and passing up a "tasty" (ick, ick, ick) snack. He even suggested a little spray bottle squirt in the nose when she was on walks and tried to eat something that wasn't hers. It worked really well. She finally gave up the habit. For Percy, I am giving him Deter, and have moved the cat boxes onto a table out of his reach in the attached garage. He hasn't wanted to eat any found on the lawn yet no matter what species. Some breeds (and i guess this is one of them) will try to eat poop no matter how balanced their diets are.

| rabbit poo Definately don't let your little one eat rabbit poop. My male got round worms from it. Had to change his heartworm medication because he is a big poop eater.
