It's from a formula recipe that I got from this site! Several people here said it was a great recipie.. and a meat baby food is just one of the ingredients. The recipe is this: 1/2 cup half and half 1/2 cup baby rice cereal (the flakes) one jar of baby food (beef or chicken - no turkey) and a teaspoon of karo or maple syrup She was really sick before I found this recipe, and now that she actually eats... she is playing and running and jumping. | |

| I just came back and read mine and thought the same thing.. I thought I was rude! I didn't read it first though. It was a horrible process trying to find something that didn't end up all over the white carpet of our apartment! I'm so glad we did. I'm hoping when my female is a little older I can switch over gradually to something else, but I'm not sure if it will be successful. I hope! But we'll get there eventually. I have found they love the super small bites though. My male who is 14 months old had the runs for like 2 months because of this food problem. I'm just glad we found something that worked! Will yours not even eat the canned dog food? I had to do that for awhile until he would totally eat the kibble. Although his poop wasn't the most solid thing when he ate that, it's better than the runs. I guess we just have picky little dogs!!

| Oh no, she won't even touch canned dog food. Even if I warm it up. She won't even eat the formula I make for her unless I heat it and SPOON FEED it to her!!! Everyone tells me that she is playing me for a fool and if I left her hungry for a day she'd eat, but I tried that and she didn't eat. She just shook and slept all day. And she's only 10 weeks.. I'm too scared to play around like that. I'll do whatever it takes to get her to eat until she is a little older... and she loves the formula. So what can I do? LOL. I never knew Yorkies were sooooo picky!! I've spent over $60 in kibble in ONE WEEK trying to get her to eat something lol. Next up is Royal Canin, WISH ME LUCK! Quote:

I'm glad she's eating. Just be careful with it. I used to feed it to my girl too until I read some articles and checked the back of the jars of baby food.

| Wow, us and our spoiled little kiddos! Well, I thought about trying that, but I am waiting for some samples to come in! Vet said he could get some. This is what we did last time, tried the samples so we didn't have to buy. Bentley wouldn't eat for the first days really, so we went through that too. But he would eat the canned food, but it was still not the best. So we went through the kibble eliminating process. I'm sure you'll get it regulated soon. I know that I had to keep a bottle of Kyro syrup around incase of hypoglycemia. Only had to use it once though! Thank gosh! Had to send bf to Wal-Mart at 3 am because we didn't have any. Along with waking my vet up... OOOPS!
