| No change in weight... Izzie had a follow-up appointment at the vet today. (It was SHOT time!!) She did *VERY* good and didn't even flinch when the vet gave her the shot... My questions is, 2 weeks ago (Izzie was 10 weeks old) she weighed 2.2 pounds. Today, at 12 weeks old, she still weighs 2.2 pounds. She eats normally and the vet said that she's not concerned. Is this normal with yorkies??? I wasn't expected a full pound increase, but is it "normal" for her to still be the exact same weight? Thanks!!!

| Maybe she hasn't hit a growth spurt yet? She is still super young and might surprise you with her growth later on...........as long as she's healthy and eating plenty don't worry about a number on the scale.

| My litttle one took forever to make it to 3 lbs 8 oz. When I brought her home she was 1.7 pds.........she took forever to make it to 3 lbs. I think about 8 months. Do not rush her, let her stay little. As long as she is eating and drinking and does not loose weight....she is fine....Enjoy, she will probably be little...... Blessings |

| I wouldnt worry to much as long as she doesnt loose, she will probably have a little growth spurt soon & shes going to grow very slowly because she is going to be very tiny, but keep a close watch & contact your vet with any concerns. |

| I think they are all so different in the way they grow and gain weight. I wouldn't worry at this time. Wrigley weighed 3.07 at 6 months when she was spayed and now two months later she went to the vet and she weighs exactly 3.07! Not even an ounce! The vet said she's fine and just small! |

| I would love to post pictures as soon as I can figure it out! Actually though, we unfortunately had to make a return visit to the vet today because Wrigley was very sick and I'm not sure how they weighed her wrong yesterday, but she actually weighs 4.02. So she's gained almost a pound in two months! I was relieved at that! We got her at 12 1/2 weeks and she weighed 1.13 lbs, so she hasn't followed the chart, but after reading alot here on YT they vary! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yeah, that growth spurt thing comes on quick. Ozzie was 3.2 pounds at 11 weeks when we got him. By the time he had his six month exam, he was DOUBLE that. By age 1, he was over 9 pounds. Freaked us out as our first Yorkie never weighed more than 7 pounds his whole life. He was probably at best weight for his size at around 12 pounds. He has gained a bit more since getting neutered a year ago. (Now around 13.5.) With spring coming, he'll be able to go on long walks again though and that should get him to shed a little. |

| Hi Everyone, I'm new to YT and this is my very first post. I've learned a lot just reading everyones post. I just took my 12 week old pup ZIGGY to the vet and she weighs 3.2 pounds. The vet said that she's fine, I was wondering if anyone knows about how much she will average out to weigh as an adult. I just found out from reading that yorkies can grow to be as big as 17 pounds which was a shock to me. I'm guessing that maybe she'll stay the same weight for while........
