I need expert advice... My 5 month old Genie Girl is loosing her baby teeth. All the top and bottom ones are replaced by permanent ones. Also, her molars are falling( I was surprised because I didn't know that) but the problem is her canines have not fallen and her permanent canines came out so I have a yorkie with two set of canines. Need advice? Thanks.

All Duncans baby teeth stayed put even when his adult teeth were well through in the end we had the baby ones removed by the vet but he did say unless they gave him any pain not to worry about them.

Thanks Julie it is reassuring to know that others like me are out there. This is the first time I have a dog and I am new at this. Still one question you said you took your baby to the vet. Didi he take them out or did they fall out on their own. Was pain med used... I here these little yorkies have problems with anesthetics. Please tell me more...

Vet took them out when he was castrated so he only went under once. But Duncan is a big yorkie and doesn't have the health worries of the smaller ones.

Thanks. I guess I will take Genie to her vet. Anyway I have been thinking of getting her spayed before 6 months of age. Guess he can pull them out then. She is a little yorkie roughly 4 lbs now I don't know if she will get any larger.
