poop eater This is certainly good to know. Gizmo is on constant patrol for a nice turd snack. I have to be ever vigilant with the pooper scooper. He knows I will yell at him, so he trys to gulp them down as fast as he can. Then he looks at the window to see if I am watching. |
Oh! Boy! I sure hope it work for some of you... I'd hate to be the YT'er who cried wolf! Actually when I came home from work today... I found poop (again)! Yippy! They were scattered around like it was played with but... I found poop! So yay! |
My vet recommended Accent. You know the food seasoning. I mixed a 1/4 teaspoon with his food and after 1 dose he stopped. :D |
for anyone that tried it Did it work for your furbabys? |
How much do you feed him and how much does he weigh. My little girl weighs 2 1/2 lbs and has started this...YUCK...so the sooner she stops the better. Thanks |
Accent works I did do it and it worked. You probably already have it in your seasoning pantry ;) Try it! You wont' regret it. |
milomlo How much did your yorkie weigh when you did this, I'm always concerned about how much of anything I give her because of her weight. Thanks |
Honestly I don't remember. I only used 1/4 tsp in his food. You can start w/ less if you want and then add more if it doesn't seem to be working. It isn't that much really. Just mix it w/ the food and they will gobble it down. |
Ok, I read this a few days ago, and tried it. Mixed it in with the cats food and Percys' and I just want to say... I think I love you....seriously, I mean that. Percy is now on his third day of not eating poop, and I think he might be in full recovery....I am *so* happy. |

I hope you are talking to me!:p I know it worked for me and I am hoping it works for you guys as well :D |
So do you give it to them everyday for ever or just until they stop eatting the poop? |

Gonna have to try this too - Calliope follows Braxton around the yard. I swear, she stands there with her mouth open waiting for it to come out! So Gross! All I can think of is a little kid I saw once at one of those all you can eat buffetts with the ice cream machine - no need for the bowl mom, it will go straight into the mouth! |

Oh I know - disgusting. I don't understand how they can even begin to think that's good. :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown It was somehow cute when the kid at the restuarant did it though... |

It takes me a while to get back here, because I don't know why but for a month now I don't get notification of any replies  |
I think I will try that too . . . Is Accent the same as MSG? |

My vet says they eat poop because there is some sort of chemical imbalance....not sure if that is true or not BUT the Accent worked. |
Seems like everyones yorkie is a little turd eater LOL (SSSSHHHHH... so is mine). |
I thought that this was one of the advantages to adding apple cider vinegar to their water, was that it would stop this. MY dogs do not do this but I have been adding 1 teaspoon to a quart of water. |
Wish me luck, I picked up the alfalfa sprouts and anise today, mixed it with her canned food and she ate it....hopefully she doesn't try to recycle it later:eek: |
I am going to try this for my little dooky eaters |

I will have to try this also, Lillie is 1 yr and I still catch her eating her poo. I thought they grew out of it! And the Anise Seeds and AlfaAlfa sprouts are safe for them to eat? I have a magic bullet, so I can grind them seeds right up! |

I didn't find any thing on the web saying it was not safe for dogs. Some of the stop eating poop ingrediants has both the sprouts and the anise in them, that's what made me try it. Hope it helps! |
